Robert Lesko Named to Board of Directors of Concordia Plan Services

Wilson Elser partner, Robert Lesko of the firm’s New Jersey office, has recently been appointed to the board of directors of Concordia Plan Services (CPS), the benefits provider for more than 6,000 Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations, schools, universities, seminaries, and other organizations in the United States and in mission fields worldwide.  

Mr. Lesko will also serve on the board of trustees for the four trusts administered by CPS, which include the Concordia Health Plan, the Concordia Disability and Survivor Plan, the Concordia Retirement Plan and the Concordia Retirement Savings Plan.

CPS bylaws require that board members have specialized experience such as benefits plan design. Mr. Lesko brings to the board more than 20 years of experience practicing law in the area of life, health, disability and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). He represents insurers, fraternal benefits societies, employee benefit plans, plan fiduciaries and third-party administrators in connection with disputes relating to life, health and disability insurance, as well as other employee benefits arising under both common law and ERISA.
Mr. Lesko has committed to serving a three-year term and may serve up to the four-year term limit.
