Scottish Rite Honors First Responders!

It was a special evening on Tuesday October 12 at the Valley of Scottish Rite in Whippany! Local Freemasons and members of the Scottish Rite (an appendant group of Freemasons) presented Whippany Fire and Hanover Police with donations towards equipment and a Dinner in their honor. Our everyday heroes were recognized with a ceremony highlighting the history of Fire, Police, and EMS. Each First Responder in attendance received a commemorative Challenge coin designed to recognize first responders. Some of these presentations given, noted the deep history of the creating and founding of these valuable Emergency services that we cherish as community residents all over our great country.

The core values and principles of Scottish Rite Masons are: Reverence for God, Integrity, Justice, Toleration, Devotion to Country, and Service to Humanity. Every Freemason is required to have a belief in a Supreme Being (typically God) and must be a man of a legal age and of a high moral character.
