Search Is On For Florham Park Bank Robber: Prosecutor

The suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with black lining and grey colored sweatpants, investigators say.

FLORHAM PARK, NJ — Investigators are searching for a man who robbed the Bank of America in Florham Park on Monday, according to Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Borough of Florham Park Police Chief Joseph Orlando.

At approximately 10:17 a.m., law enforcement received a report of a bank robbery that occurred at the Bank of America, located at 186 Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park, Knapp said in a release. The investigation has revealed that a male entered the bank branch and demanded money.

After reviewing surveillance photos from the interior of the bank Knapp said investigators are looking for a black male, who has a black goatee. The suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with black lining and grey colored sweatpants, Knapp said. The suspect also was wearing eyeglasses and a baseball cap, Knapp said. Upon exiting the bank, the male fled from the scene, Knapp said.

Numerous law enforcement agencies have responded and are currently investigating this incident, including the Florham Park Police Department, the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Knapp said.
