The Rebirth of Waterloo Village

March
11 is the date the Florham Park Historical Society will host this Waterloo

Village Rebirth presentation at the Florham Park Library.

Waterloo Village is located on the Musconetcong River, near Stanhope,

New Jersey, on the border of Sussex and Morris counties. The village’s history

began with Native Americans, which was followed by a pre-Revolutionary iron

town, a Morris Canal town, and a Victorian village, with an active United

Methodist Church that opened in 1859.

Robert Barth, past president of the Canal Society of New Jersey and

vice-chairman of the FOWV, will share with you some history and the current

activities at Waterloo.
