Congratulations to Andrew Kuzemczak and Julia Nixon, our September Students of the Month!
Andrew Kuzemczak is well known amongst his peers and teachers as polite, friendly, outgoing and exceedingly intelligent. He balances an extremely rigorous honors and AP course load with a full plate of extracurricular and volunteer activities. This senior is a three-sport athlete, participating in Cross Country, Winter Track, and Spring Track, as well president of both INTERACT and the Student Government Association. He maintains membership in the National Honor Society, New Jersey Boy’s State, and Heroes and Cool Kids, and was an ambassador to the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Program for 2014-2015. In addition, he volunteers with the American Red Cross. As one of his teachers remarks, our recipient is “...a sedulous worker with an eternally positive attitude. He never takes a ‘day off,’ always bringing his best to the classroom AND his after school commitments.”
Julia Nixon is a quiet, but powerful force to be reckoned with. She too balances an extremely demanding honors and AP course load with many extracurricular activities and leadership positions. She is a three-sport athlete, competing in Winter Track, Spring Track, and serving as a captain for the Cross Country Team. She is also the editor of Etcetera, the president of National Honor Society, SGA treasurer, and a member of Heroes and Cool Kids. As if that weren’t enough, this involved senior represented Whippany Park as a member of New Jersey Girls’ State and was an ambassador to the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Program for 2014-2015. As one faculty member states, our recipient “...is naturally modest, despite her apparent intellect. She is not only a stellar student who devotes much of her time and energy to intellectual pursuits, but also a wonderful human being with a kind heart; she is willing to drop everything to help others.”
