3 New Officers Sworn In To East Windsor Police Department

Giuston De Blasio, Michael Scalese, and Michael Whalen are filling police vacancies created by retirements and promotions.

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — Three new police officers recently took the oath of office to join the East Windsor Police Department. Giuston De Blasio, Michael Scalese, and Michael Whalen are filling police vacancies created by retirements and promotions, township officials announced. All three have been assigned to the Uniform Services Division.

De Blasio, who graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in May 2016, obtained an Associate of Arts Degree at Brookdale Community College and is currently attending Rutgers University to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. He was previously a police officer in North Hanover Township.

Scalese, who graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in May 2015, obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at East Stroudsburg University in August 2013. He previously was a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer with the Stafford Township Police Department.

Whalen, who graduated from the Ocean County Policy Academy in May 2015, obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice at Kean University in May 2013. He was previously a police officer in Riverton Borough.
