East Windsor Man Accused Of Lewd Act At Public Library
A convicted sex offender is accused of committing the act in front of two girls last week, according to police.
HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A registered sex offender from East Windsor was arrested last week for committing a lewd act in front of a public library. Police in Hamilton Township say two girls spotted 26-year-old Mitchell B. Richtman performing a lewd act at the Hamilton Township Library on Tuesday, May 23.
The girls told library staff they saw Richtman performing the lewd act in between bookshelves at the library while watching a video on his phone, Hamilton Township police said. Library staff contacted local police, who responded to the library and arrested Richtman as he was leaving through a basement door.
In 2005, he was convicted of child endangerment and required to register as a Megan’s Law offender, according to The Trentonian. He was a minor at the time of the conviction. He has since pleaded guilty to a separate incident of possession of child pornography, in 2010, and charged with sexual assault for allegedly masturbating in front of two 12-year-old girls at Hightstown Memorial Library last year.
