Tuesday Is National Night Out In East Windsor
The celebration includes demonstrations and activities for kids.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — National Night Out is upon us. East Windsor’s annual celebration will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at the East Windsor P.A.L. Complex, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. The complex is located at 30 Airport Road.
Activities set for that night include police, fire and emergency medical services equipment, and crime watch information. There will be demonstrations by a canine trained in detecting illegal drugs, child car safety seat inspections and demonstrations by the American Red Cross. Many community groups and area businesses will host booths with information and giveaways supporting the National Night Out theme.
Additionally, at the Township “National Night Out,” areas will be set up for issuance of identification cards for children, fire hose demonstrations and face painting. Further activities will include a moon bounce, a rock climbing wall, music and refreshments will be available.

National Night Out is an initiative in which people in towns across the country gather at their homes, on their streets and at their local community centers in recognition of their support of the community.
“We are pleased to be a part of this national effort which provides an opportunity to enhance positive relationships between our citizens and local government,” East Windsor Mayor Janice S. Mironov said. “I encourage all East Windsor residents to stop by and join with us in this fun and positive evening of fellowship and activities.”

Local state and federal officials from 15,728 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide joined forces to celebrate the 33rd annual National Night Out (NNO) – a community crime and safety event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, ADT, Nextdoor.com, Association and Fun Flicks. Throughout the nation, along with the traditional ‘lights on’ and front porch vigils, there were tens of thousands of block parties, cookouts, and parades.
