Fugitive Arrest Results In Gun Seizure In Mercer County: Sheriff
Police were targeting 24-year-old Ajderiah Ivey, and they ended up arresting two more people and seized five guns.
What began as a fugitive arrest turned into three arrests and the seizure of five guys, Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler announced. Members of the Mercer County Sheriff s Office and the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force were targeting 24-year-old Ajderiah Ivey. Zaire Jackson, 23, and 26-year-old Allen Edwards were also arrested inside an apartment on the 500 block of Hoffman Avenue in Trenton.
Ivey had an outstanding bench warrant for her arrest issued by Mercer County Superior Court for a Violation of Probation. After the three were arrested, police obtained a court-ordered search warrant. During that search, detectives said they seized an SKS style assault rifle, two high capacity magazines, a defaced 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, and a .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun.
“Our collaboration with the US Marshals Service continues to help us apprehend dangerous fugitives and to take more and more deadly weapons off of our streets,” Kemler said.
