Hit-And-Run, Reckless Driving: East Windsor Police Blotter

An East Windsor resident struck several parked vehicles and fled the scene on foot, police said.

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — The East Windsor Police blotter dated March 16, contained the following reports:

On March 10 at 10:45 p.m., a man came into the East Windsor Police Headquarters to report damage to his vehicle from an accident. According to investigation, the man was involved in an accident, but he was responsible for the crash and left the scene without notifying the police or speaking with the other driver. The 30-year-old Lakehurst man was taken into custody and charged with leaving the scene of accident, failure to report accident and other offenses.

On March 14 at 8:23 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Twin Rivers Drive North for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Investigation revealed that the vehicle struck several parked vehicles. The driver fled the scene on foot but was apprehended by officers. The 32-year-old East Windsor resident exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. He was later released pending court action.

On March 15, at 12:16 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of shoplifting. According to investigation, the 30-year-old Bronx resident left the store without paying for $322.35 worth of merchandise. The man was charged on a complaint summons.
