Man Brandished Knife During Gas Station Altercation: Police

Police said they recovered a firearm in the man's jacket during the investigation.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Hamilton police charged a 39-year-old man Friday after he displayed a knife during a dispute over a gas payment at a service station.

Davay Jackson faces charges of terroristic threats and unlawful possession of a weapon following the Feb. 6 incident at the 24 Seven Fuel gas station on Nottingham Way.

Officers responded to the gas station, where a verbal altercation reportedly escalated. During the incident, Jackson made threatening statements, causing concern. It was reported to police that a knife was displayed during the confrontation, authorities said.

He was taken into custody shortly after the altercation without incident. On further investigation, a firearm was found in Jackson’s jacket.

The firearm was recovered without incident and there were no injuries reported.
