Mercer County Man Arrested, $15K In Drugs Seized: Prosecutor
Darryl Rice was arrested following a raid at his home last week, according to the prosecutor's office.

One person was arrested and $15,250 in drugs were seized following a two-week investigation, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said on Tuesday.
Darryl Rice, 35, of Trenton, is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute, possession with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested following a raid at his home at about 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, according to authorities. Police said they found 70 grams of crack cocaine and 55 bricks of heroin in the home, and $2,070 in cash on Rice himself. The street value of the seized drugs is about $15,250, according to Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Sgt. Brian Kiely.

The search warrant was executed by officers with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, and the Hamilton and Trenton police, under the command of the prosecutor’s Special Investigations Unit.
Following his arrest, Rice was released pending court proceedings.
