Mercer County Marks 75th Anniversary Of Pearl Harbor With Ceremony This Weekend
The ceremony is Sunday in Trenton.

Dec. 7, 1941 is a day that will live in infamy, and a day that will be recalled during a special ceremony in Mercer County this weekend.
Mercer County will host a ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the Japanese air attack on Pearl Harbor on Sunday, Dec. 4, at Catholic War Veterans Post 417, 301 Grand Street in Trenton, noon.
The event is presented by Mercer County Veteran Services in conjunction with the Mercer County Veterans Council. The public is encouraged to attend.

Hughes will give brief remarks at the ceremony, followed by remarks from Capt. Stanley Winowicz Jr., USNR.
This year’s program will also feature the traditional laying of a wreath at the base of the American flag, the laying of a second wreath by the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, a 21-gun salute by the Marine Corps League, and the playing of taps by Walter Kramarz of the Mercer County Veterans Council.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside.
