Mercer County Woman Left 2-Year-Old Home Alone: Report

A Mercer County woman is charged with endangering the welfare of a child after police allege she left her 2-year-old child home alone, The Trentonian reports.

Felicia Hernandez, 28, of Trenton, left her child home alone while she says she went to the store on Monday. A concerned citizen had contacted police to tell them the child had been running around the apartment all day.

The child initially wouldn’t allow police into the apartment, so they had to call the Trenton Housing Authority. Once in the apartment, police realized the child was alone, and took her to police headquarters. Hernandez arrived at police headquarters a short time later.
