Missing Mercer County Man Found Dead In Bucks Co., PA

A fisherman on the Delaware River alerted authorities when they spotted a body last Tuesday. Zachary Lobato had been missing since January.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A missing man from Mercer County was found dead in Falls Township, PA on March 21, according to authorities.

The body of Zachary Lobato, 24, of Hamilton was found between the Delaware River and Biles Creek on March 21, authorities said.

Lobato had been missing since Jan. 24, Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck said.

Lobato was witnessed jumping from the Trenton Makes bridge that day, Buck said.

There were no obvious signs of trauma on Lobato's body, Bucks said. The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.

“Our office extends its deepest condolences to the Decedent’s family and friends during this difficult time," she said in a news release.

Falls Township Police and the Morrisville Fire Department assisted the Coroner’s Office with recovery of the body, said Buck.

The Falls Township Police Department was called to the area of 2300 South Pennsylvania Ave. at 5:19 p.m. on March 21 for a report of a body by Biles Creek, as Patch previously reported.

Patrol officers and detectives worked with area fire rescue teams to place a boat in the water and recover the remains, Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney said.
