New Jersey Mycological Association Annual Fungus Fest

The annual New Jersey Mycological Association Fungus Fest will be held on Sunday Sept. 28th, at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morristown NJ.

The annual New Jersey Mycological Association Fungus Fest will be held on Sunday Sept. 28th, at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, 353 E Hanover Ave Whippany, NJ 07981, from 10am until 4pm.

Fungus Fest is best described as a giant “science fair of mushrooms” It includes extensive exhibits of mushrooms, edible and poisonous mushroom identification, mushroom art and photography, mushroom identification walks, how-to’s on mushroom cultivation and mushroom cooking, talks and presentations for beginners, medicinal uses of mushrooms, and even demonstrations of crafts like papermaking and fabric dyeing using mushrooms. Members of the public are invited to bring their own mushroom specimens in for identification by our experts.

Fungus Fest 2014 is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $2 for adults and $1 for those under 16.
