Police Blotter: Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Underage Drinking, Slashed Tires and Resisting Arrest

Police described an eventful week in East Windsor, and a less-than-calm one in Hightstown.

Local police departments released the following reports for the week.

Feb. 7

  • Police are investigating the burglary of the rental office at Twin Rivers Apartments.

Police said they responded to the office for a report of a burglary at 9 a.m. and found someone had entered by smashing a glass door and stolen an unknown number of rent envelopes, which had been dropped through a mail slot in another door. The incident occurred between noon Feb. 5 and 9 a.m. Feb. 7, police said, and the exact number of envelopes stolen had not been determined Feb. 8.

  • A 17-year-old Windsor Castle Apartments boy was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of ecstasy, being under the influence of narcotics, aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of law.
  • At the same time, a 17-year-old boy from the Orchard apartment complex was charged with underage alcohol consumption.
  • Following the incident, Ixchel Cordoba, 24, and Cesar Choco, 22, both of Princeton Arms Apartments East, were charged with providing alcohol to minors, and Cordoba was also charged with a noise violation.

Police said they responded to a Princeton Arms East apartment at 2:17 a.m. for a noise complaint, and that they smelled burnt marijuana and heard loud music and noise when they approached the residence. Police said they found teenagers were visiting and that there "was a large number of open liquor bottles throughout the apartment." Police said they saw one teenage boy hiding something in a pizza box, which turned out to contain cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy. When they tried to arrest him, police said he resisted, fighting with the officers by kicking them and spitting at them. Police said they also arrested another teenager who was intoxicated.

The two adult residents of the apartment, Cordoba and Choco, were later charged with providing the alcohol to minors, and they were not taken into custody. The teenagers were released to family members.

  • David Fedor, 52, of Yardville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving and driving an uninsured vehicle.

Police said they responded to the parking lot of Crock-a-Deli at 2:47 p.m. for a report of a man passed out at the wheel of his vehicle. Police said store personnel reported that inside the deli, the man had fallen off his chair and was falling asleep. He went out to his vehicle, started it and prepared to drive away when store personnel intervened, turned the vehicle off and called police, according to a police report. Police said Fedor had slurred speech and seemed to have trouble standing up, and he was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton "due to his level of impairment."

Feb. 5

  • Al Srinivasan, 54, of Lawrence, was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving and uninsured vehicle.

Police said they responded to the lot of Windsor Wines and Liquors at 3:23 p.m. for a report of an intoxicated man driving out of the lot. Police said they saw the vehicle in the lot with store employees standing next to it. The employees told police they thought the man was too intoxicated to drive. Police said Srinivasan had bloodshot and watery eyes and slurred speech, and he was arrested after field sobriety tests.

  • Gregory Larson, 33, of Kensington Arms Apartments, was charged with obstructing the administration of law and resisting arrest.

Police said they responded to the apartment at 4:44 a.m. for a report of a disturbance and that Larson, who appeared intoxicated, became aggressive toward the officers when they tried to talk to him. Police said he threatened to "punch a cop in the face" and "head butt any cop that comes near me," and clenched his fists and moved toward an officer aggressively. Police said he continued to resist as he was arrested.

Feb. 4

  • Police are investigating a report of criminal mischief.

Police said a woman reported that someone slashed her tires while she was parked in the Superfresh parking lot between 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Police said both of the driver's side tires had been slashed with a  sharp object, and the damage was estimated at $1,000.

Feb. 2

  • Michael Heuston, 33, of Edison Drive was charged with theft and theft of lost property.

Police said they responded to the Target parking lot at 11:29 a.m. for a report of a theft from a taxi cab. The cab driver told police a passenger had reached into her purse, which was sitting on the floor between the front seats, and taken a wallet containing $3,000 in cash. Police said the passenger, Heuston, left the cab, and officers found him in the Target lot, where they arrested him after the driver identified him. Police said Heuston agreed to return the money and took detectives to a nearby pile of snow from which he removed the cash, which was returned to the victim.

Police said they also found Heuston had a personal check from another person, who confirmed it had been lost or stolen. Heuston was released on 10 percent of $1,000 bail pending court action.

Feb. 6

  • Christopher Jenkins, 22, of Windsor Castle, East Windsor, was turned over to Hightstown police on a municipal court warrant.

Police East Windsor Police turned him over to them at 2:34 a.m. He was later released on $500 bail.

Feb. 4

  • Marta Sagastuna-Aguilar, 52, of Railroad Avenue, Hightstown, was charged with contempt of court.

Police said they responded to her residence at 9:07 a.m. and took her into custody because she had a $1,000 Hightstown Municipal Court warrant. She was later released on bail.

Feb. 2

  • Antonio Rosario, 21, of Bolton Road, East Windsor, was charged with providing alcohol to minors. Christopher Rosario, 19, of Academy Street, Hightstown; Joseph Scirocco, 18, of Harron Avenue, Hightstown; and a 16-year-old boy from the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold, were all charged with underage possession of alcohol.

Police said they responded to the Hightstown Housing Authority at 4:20 p.m. for a report of people drinking in public. Police said they arrived to find the four in possession of alcohol. The boy was released to a parent and the others were released on their own recognizance.
