Reckless Driving, Possession of CDS: East Windsor Police Blotter

The East Windsor Police Blotter dated Sept. 7 had the following reports:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On Aug. 31 at 4:14 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of shoplifting. Investigation revealed three individuals, all residents of North Bergen, attempted to leave the store without paying for $433.44 worth of merchandise. All were placed under arrest and later released pending court action.

On Sept. 03 at 1:59 a.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 133 after observing the vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel. The driver, of East Elmhurst, NY, exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 35-year-old driver was later released pending court action.

On Sept. 4, at 5:07 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Route 571 and Route 130 after receiving a complaint of a vehicle in the area with a dislodged bumper and the driver sleeping behind the wheel. The officer located the vehicle in the Aldi parking lot and the driver exhibited signs of impairment. The 40-year-old man was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests and later released pending court action.

On Sept. 5, 10:11 a.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Route 33 and Lake Drive for a reported motor vehicle accident. Investigation revealed that the driver responsible for the accident exhibited signs of impairment and was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The 40-year-old man was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
