Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest: East Windsor Police Blotter

The East Windsor police blotter dated June 15 had the following reports:

EAST WINDSOR, NJ – On June 9 at 3:27 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of shoplifting. According to investigation, a 35-year-old Newark man attempted to leave the store without paying for $230.93 worth of merchandise. The man was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.

On June 10, at 1:11 a.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 130/Old Cranbury Road after observing a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel. The driver, a 31-year-old Delran resident, exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. He was later released pending court action.

On June 11, at 2:08 a.m., an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 130/Route 133 after observing the vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel. The 32-year-old Bordentown resident provided a false name to the officer. The officer eventually determined the man’s true identity and located an active warrant for his arrest. While being placed under arrest, the man became combative and resisted by flailing his arms. He was charged with resisting arrest, and obstructing, among other offenses and was later released pending court action.

On June 13 at 6:55 p.m., an officer responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. According to investigation, a Bronx resident and a Plainsboro resident left the store without paying for $1,008.62 worth of merchandise. Both were placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
