Reckless Driving, Shoplifting: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor police blotter dated July 20 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ - On July 18, 1:23 p.m., an officer responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. Investigation revealed that a 20-year-old Trenton woman left the store without paying for $185.49 worth of merchandise. The woman was placed under arrest and later released pending court action.
On July 18, 4 p.m., on June 30, two people were seen by TJ Maxx Loss Prevention leaving the store without paying for $916.87 worth of merchandise. The incident was captured by the store’s security cameras and the video footage was provided to the police department for investigation. The detective was able to identify the two suspects, both from New York, who were both charged on a complaint summons pending court action.
On June 19, at 8:18 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Abbington Drive near CVS for a motor vehicle collision. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Investigation revealed that the driver responsible for the crash exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. The driver, a 28-year-old Hightstown resident, was later released pending court action.
