Rescue Mission of Trenton to Celebrate 100th Anniversary with Big Event!

Come one, come all to the Rescue Mission of Trenton's Centennial Event! Miniature Golf! Silent Auction! Sumptuous Lunch! Prizes & More!

On April 17, 2015 the Rescue Mission of Trenton will formally celebrate 100 years of rebuilding, remaking and reshaping lives with a three-part event at the Mission’s historic Cracker Factory Building.

The theme of our Centennial Event will be “Rebuilding Lives - Making Miracles Happen.” This event is more than commemorating an anniversary –it is a celebration of the continued unity within the community to aid in our mission to rebuild lives.

Since our founding in 1915, the Mission has remained steadfast in its dedication to serving the homeless, the hungry, the transient, and the addicted in our community. While the scope of programs offered by the Mission has grown dramatically to include a continuum of programs and housing options, our mission of serving the truly needy who have no place else to turn has remained constant.

The Mission’s Centennial Event will be held on the second and third floors of the historic Cracker Factory Building at 100 Carroll Street in Trenton, and will feature:

  • Presentation by Eric LeGrand: Football star Eric LeGrand’s career at Rutgers was cut short by a tragic spinal injury in 2010. Each day his triumph over his circumstances inspires us all.
  • First-ever Inductees into the Mission Hall of Fame: Individuals who have made an extraordinary contribution to the Rescue Mission will be honored.
  • Mercer’s Biggest & Best Adam Shanks Mission Miniature Golf Tournament: Those who have attended the ten previous tournaments will be blown away by this year’s incarnation. There will be two elaborate courses with refreshments, butlered hors d’oeuvres, a huge silent auction, trophies, prizes and a sumptuous barbecue.

On April 17th check-in will begin at 9:30am and the event will kick off with the featured presentation at 10:00am.
