Surviving Cancer Workshop In Mercer County This Fall
The free workshop will run Wednesdays for adults of all ages who are battling cancer.

A free six-week workshop on how to survive cancer is coming to Mercer County. “Cancer: Thriving and Surviving” takes place on Wednesdays, Oct.25 through Nov. 29, 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. each week at the Healthy Living Center at the Hamilton Area YMCA. The YMCA is located at 1315 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road in Hamilton Township.
Adults of all ages, who are living with or surviving cancer, are encouraged to take part in this series. Using a variety of fun and interactive techniques such as brainstorming, problem solving and action planning, participants will learn to better manage their symptoms, emotions and relationships; make treatment decisions; and plan for the future.
Participants will learn how healthy eating, fitness, deep breathing, relaxation, communication and positive thinking can improve their quality of life. Participants will receive a free book: “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions.” Light refreshments will be served.
