• Alexander Van Rensselaer Halsey (tworivertimes.com) — Local readers are asked to honor Alexander “Sandy” Halsey’s memory with donations to CPC Integrated Health on Industrial Way East in Eatontown. The longtime Rumson resident, Navy veteran, and finance leader died March 5 at age 95, leaving a legacy of community service, world travel, and deep family ties across New Jersey and beyond. 
• Dog Became Stuck In A Storm Drain In Eatontown (patch.com) — Eatontown firefighters and DPW crews recently rescued a dog that got stuck exploring drainage pipes beneath a storm drain on Samantha Way, after his walker called 911. Crews pried open the drain and used a crane to safely free the dog, who was later reunited with his owners. No injuries or flooding issues were reported.
