Breaking: Thousands of homes are without power as a storm rolls through.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — As powerful thunderstorms roll through Morris County, thousands are without power in the Morristown Area, according to JCP&L.
1,222 in Morris Plains, 997 in Morris Township, and 108 in Morristown are in the dark as of 2:27 p.m. The JCP&L website says over should be restored by 5 p.m.

- Keep a flashlight, portable radio and fresh batteries handy.
- Have extra blankets or a sleeping bag for each person.
