2 Edison Children Attacked By Pit Bulls In Separate Incidents
A 9-year-old and a 13-year old were attacked by two pit bulls at different locations on Friday, police said.
EDISON, NJ —Two children were attacked by two pit bulls in separate incidents in Edison on Friday, Nov. 19, police said.
On Friday evening, between 4:30 to 5 p.m., two dogs attacked two children — a 9-year-old on Elm Street and a 13-year old at Swales Park, police said.
The 9-year-old suffered bites on his arm and the teen was bitten on his leg. After the teen was bitten, he fell to the ground and fractured his wrist, police said. The dogs were described as pit bulls, and after the attack on the teen, someone rounded up the dogs and left, police said.

Given the proximity between the two locations and the time frame, police believe the same dogs could be involved in the attack.
“The Health Department is currently handling the case and will be returning to interview the victims today,” Edison Police Deputy Chief Robert Dudash told Patch.

The dogs have not been found yet, but authorities will be investigating how the dogs escaped, whether they are licensed and if they are up to date with their vaccines.
Any further action will be taken after the investigation is complete.
