2023 Primary Election Edison: Unofficial Results
See who's leading the race, according to the unofficial results from Middlesex County.
EDISON, NJ — As of Wednesday morning, with all 615 districts reporting, the unofficial tally for the primary race is in.
Joe Coyle, Ajay Patil, Richard Brescher, and Asaf Shmuel are leading the race against their challengers, Robert Kentos and Lav Patel.
Coyle, Patil, Brescher and Shmuel received endorsements from the Middlesex County Democratic Organization, while Kentos and Patel ran off the party line.

As it currently stands, Brescher is the highest vote-getter with 5,825 votes, followed by Shmuel at 5,318 and Coyle at 4,957.
Election results remain unofficial until certified.

The Middlesex County clerk has not certified the totals yet. To make the tally official, the final certification of the results must be done on June 19.

- Richard Brescher: 5,825

- Robert Kentos: 3,583
- Lav Patel: 3,833
- Write-in: 87
