METUCHEN, NJ — This Saturday, there will be a second protest march/rally in Metuchen, in support of ending racism, racial equality and the Black Lives Matter movement.
The event, described by organizers as a "Rally for Social Justice" will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday at Martin Luther King Park (480 Middlesex Avenue in Metuchen).

“There is no better time than the present to work toward dismantling the systemic racism that has persisted for centuries and led to unacceptable levels of injustice in our minority communities," said Dr. Hazel-Anne Johnson-Marcus, co-chair of the Metuchen Human Relations Commission. "We hope that this event can be a catalyst for reform at the grassroots level by providing attendees with a network of tools and contacts to continue to educate, activate and advocate on this issue.”
