'Bans Off Our Bodies' Abortion Rights Rally Scheduled In Metuchen

METUCHEN, NJ — Women's March is organizing a rally in Metuchen this Saturday as part of a nationwide demonstration for abortion rights.

The rally is from 2-3:30 p.m. at an undisclosed location. Marches are going on across the country, including in our nation's capital, to protest a leaked Supreme Court majority decision that would overturn Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

"Roe has always been the floor, not the ceiling," event organizers wrote. "Many Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and other people of color experience barriers to accessing abortions. The people in your community and across the country deserve the power and freedom to make their own personal reproductive health care decisions."

"We have to act NOW, all across the country. Together we will send a strong message that we're not backing down. Supporting abortion access must be protected and defended."
