Company Proposes Warehouse Expansion At Edison's Tived Lane

C+A Global is seeking to modernize and improve the existing warehouse, which has been around for decades.

EDISON, NJ – Residents of Tived Lane East attended the last Zoning Board meeting in large numbers to oppose the proposed plan to expand an existing warehouse.

C+A Global is seeking preliminary and final site plan approval along with bulk variances to expand the existing warehouse which is not a permitted use in the zone.

According to the Zoning Board agenda, the “standards have not been met in accordance with the Master Plan.”

The maximum building coverage permitted is 0.23, proposed is 0.50 (349,733 square feet) whereas 0.36 (256,100 square feet) is existing.

The property is located in the township’s residential business zone.

The applicant, Tived Lane LLC., had three witnesses on behalf of the client, C+A Global. The company is engaged in the design, manufacturing and distribution of consumer products.

Although many residents were present during the meeting, they did not get a chance to speak as time was running out.

During the last meeting, attorneys from C+A Global said the company wanted to modernize and improve the existing warehouse, which has been around for decades.

The company wants to expand the warehouse by building a 94,227-square-foot addition along with site improvements including lighting, signage, parking and stormwater management.

Testimony is scheduled to continue during the Planning Board meeting on Oct. 24.
