Edison To Celebrate Opening Of New Community Garden
The grand opening of the community garden will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. in Swales Park.

EDISON, NJ — Earlier this year, Mayor Sam Joshi announced plans to establish the Township's first community garden at Swales Park.
And looks like residents can access the garden soon. Edison will be celebrating the grand opening of the community garden on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. in Swales Park.
The garden is expected to include 38 beds for fruits and vegetables. There will be a shed where residents can store their supplies and will include work tables where residents can work side by side.

Work on the community garden began in April. Although the garden is being built by the Township, a nonprofit will run it.
The township needs volunteers to help beautify the garden ahead of the opening. To volunteer and register, click here. The grand opening will feature crafts for kids and other activities.
