Edison Police Hope To Spread Holiday Cheer Through Toy Drive
The Edison police department is seeking donations for their 'Cops for Tots' toy drive.

EDISON, NJ — The Edison Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing Unit is launching their new Holiday Operation - Cops for Tots.
The goal of the police department is to distribute unwrapped, new toys, to children from Edison families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic this holiday season.
Toys collected with be distributed to Edison residents only. This toy drive is in addition to other drives to maximize collection efforts to benefits Edison residents as a whole.

Because of COVID-19 many families are facing hardships, especially as the Holiday season approaches. According to recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, around 11.1 million people are currently unemployed. This has led to families facing food insecurity and deepened housing crisis in the country.
