Edison Township Earns New Jersey's Top Healthy Town Designation
The New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute named Edison a Healthy Town 2025 — the highest recognition available.
EDISON, NJ — Edison has earned the highest municipal health recognition from the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute, capping a three-year rise through the organization's ranking system.
The institute recently named Edison a Healthy Town 2025 through its Mayors Wellness Campaign, a statewide community health initiative.
The designation follows Edison's recognition as a Healthy Town-to-Watch in 2024 and a Healthy Town Up-and-Coming in 2023.

"Edison Township is proud to have earned the 2025 Healthy Town designation," Mayor Sam Joshi said in a statement.
"The Mayors Wellness Campaign has aided our township in local initiatives that support residents' physical, mental, and spiritual health. Our community continues to enhance its social connectivity and engagement through programs and events including the Mayors' Bike Tour, disability dances, senior services and programs, and more."

The Mayors Wellness Campaign is administered through the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute and encourages municipalities across the state to promote resident health and well-being through community programming and civic engagement.
