EDISON, NJ — On Wednesday at 7 p.m., the Girl Scouts of Central & Southern New Jersey (GSCSNJ) will host a webinar titled “Girls Minds Matter: The Importance of Mental Health and Wellbeing” via Zoom.

The event will provide insights on mental health issues experienced by girls, ways to destigmatize mental health, support resources for girls and parents, and how Girl Scouts can help girls facing difficult times.

According to a 2020 Girl Scouts Research Institute report on mental health, 84 percent of Girl Scouts feel stressed about their futures and nearly 50 percent of GEN Z youth (ages 6 to 24) feel they will be judged negatively for receiving mental health treatment, the organization said.
