Highland Park resident leads Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser, for 17th Year

Kelly Maietta is passionate about raising funds to advance research and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. And she’s held an annual fundraiser, now in its 17^th year, to support those goals. This year’s fundraiser will be held on Saturday April 18^th, starting at 3:00 pm, at the Edison Elks Lodge and will feature a fashion show, vendors, a 50/50 raffle, DJ’s and live music, and more.

Maietta has lived in Highland Park since August 2020 and works in the North Brunswick Public Schools cafeterias. She got involved in supporting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society after she was diagnosed with probable multiple sclerosis in her early twenties.

Maietta’s annual MS fundraiser regularly attracts dozens of attendees and has raised over $30,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. For this year’s fundraiser, she has enlisted four notable attractions:

> Daniel Varady – the captain of Team Dan with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk for Multiple Sclerosis;

> Candice Hulse – the captain of the Keep S’myelin with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk for Multiple Sclerosis;

> David Todd, noted DJ/MC Entertainer;

> The Just Cuz Band.

The entry fee is $20 and a cash bar will be available.
