Horizon BCBSNJ has a History of Putting Profits Before Patients

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ pays its executives, lobbyists, PR experts, and lawyers millions, while policyholders are seeing double-digit premium increases. How is this fair, especially considering the company is a nonprofit?!?

Earlier this summer, the court ordered Horizon to release documents about its OMNIA plan--documents the company spent millions in legal fees trying to keep under wraps. How about the company be transparent and return that money to members?

As the state's largest health insurer by far with special nonprofit status, Horizon should be held to a higher standard because right now its not operating with the best interest of its members in mind.
