How To Vote In Metuchen This November

Metuchen has released detailed information, including a video, on registration, mail-in ballots and polling locations for residents.

METUCHEN, NJ — Metuchen recently released more information on the upcoming elections and how to vote.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all registered voters in New Jersey will automatically receive a Vote By Mail ballot , as per Gov. Phil Murphy’s Executive Order 177.

A limited number of in-person polling locations will be available for voters requiring special assistance or for the casting of provisional ballots.

All regulations regarding social distancing will be adhered to at the polling locations.

The deadline to register to vote for the General Election is October 13. Applications to register to vote are available here: http://www.middlesexcountynj.gov/vote2020

Polling locations:

A limited number of polling locations will be open on Election Day, but voters will only be able to cast their ballot in person using a provisional paper ballot.

In Metuchen, there are two polling locations for the Nov. 3 general election.

Senior Center located at 15 Center St, for districts 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 13 and Metuchen High School Cafeteria located at 400 Grove Avenue, for districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11 and 12.

Disabled voter in need of access on Nov. 3, can call the Middlesex County Board of Elections at 732-745-3471 for assistance and information.

Vote by mail ballot box:

Middlesex County Residents may drop off their mail in ballots at the secure drop box, located at the Metuchen Municipal Building, 500 Main Street, at the back of parking lot by handicap parking lanes on the sidewalk.

This Ballot Box will be closed at 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.

How to track your mail-in ballot

A new website will allow New Jersey residents to register to vote and track their mail-in ballot all while on the go or from the comfort of their home.

This online form is safe and secure, and can be accessed anywhere – whether from a library computer or your smartphone, simply visit www.nj.gov/state/elections and click the link for ‘register to vote’ at the top of the page. All you need to securely register to vote is your driver’s license number or non-driver identification number, or your social security number.”

Voter registration forms:

Voter registration forms must be submitted 21 days prior to any upcoming election date (forms are available at Middlesex County Link above or at the Borough Clerk’s Office). If you have questions about deadlines, please contact the Municipal Clerk at 732-828-2100 ext. 181

Please complete your voter registration and submit to the County Commissioner of Registration. In Middlesex County, the Commissioner of Registration is located at 11 Kennedy Blvd. East Brunswick, NJ 08816-9928.

Name, address and signature change

If you need to change your name, address, or update your signature, please complete the voter registration form above and indicate which change(s) is needed. Submit the form to the Commissioner of Registration in the County for processing.
