A Massive Chocolate Expo Is Coming To Edison On March 13
With over 50 participating vendors, the chocolate expo in Edison will showcase unique confections and specialty foods.
EDISON, NJ — This is the closest you’ll get to Willy Wonka and Chocolate Factory. Over 50 chocolate vendors will be heading to Edison on Sunday, March 13 for the Chocolate Expo — one of the largest chocolate events in the region and country.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center.
“We're coming back after two really tough years. A lot of the small businesses were hurt and many went out of business,” said Marvin Baum, of Baum Image Group, who created the event.

"Businesses are still struggling with supply chain and employee issues. Once it became clear that Omnicon was going down, I said we were going to do this event. We need to get back to life here."
The event will have something for everyone — kids' craft activities, face painting, balloon twisting, a comedy hypnotist, cooking demonstrations, and more.

The one-day event will also give local businesses a platform, said Baum. "It'll mainly be local vendors. We're still adding more to the list," said Baum.
Baum said he has organized "roughly 11 to 12" such expos in New Jersey over the years. "But this year will be different because we are coming off of really tough two years and people are looking for experiences."
Some unique creations at the expo will include chocolate-covered bacon confections, fancy bakery items with a British flair, chocolate fountains, chicken with chocolate sauce, hot chocolate, chocolate bath products, and more.
The expo will also showcase specialty foods like cheese and wine that pair well with chocolate, said Baum. "This is a great place for local vendors and visitors to make contacts," he said.
Tickets are currently on sale — 20 per adult and $15 for children ages 2-12. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event, subject to availability.
