Mayor Announces Plan To Reinstate Edison Shuttle Service

The township plans to revive and expand the shuttle service which was discontinued years ago.

EDISON, NJ – Edison residents may soon be able to use the township’s shuttle service to get to their place of work.

During the State of the Township address, Mayor Sam Joshi announced his administration will reinstate the township’s shuttle service, which was discontinued a while back.

Years ago, Edison had several vans that transported residents from apartment complexes to the train station and back.

“We are not only reviving the program, but we are expanding it with additional shuttles to accommodate even more citizens,” Joshi said. “This means fewer cars on the road and less traffic. It is environmentally friendly and reduces our collective carbon footprint.”

Joshi said a low-fare shuttle system will save residents gas money and parking fees.

Joshi however did not give a timeline for when the service would begin or the costs involved.
