Media Invited: Construction Industry Career Day in Edison on May 27-28

• Tues. May 27 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm: Open to the public for community members looking for a new career opportunity
• Wed. May 28 from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm: Reserved for high school students, with 2400+ students spanning 80+ schools registered to attend

Edison, NJ — The Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey (ACCNJ), in collaboration with industry associations, their labor partners and the CICD committee, is proud to announce Construction Industry Career Day (CICD) 2025. This interactive two-day event will showcase the construction industry’s educational opportunities and occupations. Both days will include hands-on demonstrations from New Jersey’s construction trades and the opportunity to visit display booths for colleges, trade associations, and federal and state agencies.

Members of the media are invited to attend both days as students and community members participate in this immersive event, connecting with industry professionals who will offer real-world, hands-on skill demonstrations and provide beneficial information on pursuing careers in construction. This visual and engaging event will provide media attendees the opportunity to interview Jill Schiff, COO of ACCNJ, on both days, and select high school students on May 28.

• Wednesday, May 28th from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm is reserved for high school students. More than 80 schools in New Jersey are registered, totaling more than 2,400 students.
