Metuchen To Welcome New Portuguese-Inspired Restaurant

Tribos Peri Peri, a restaurant specializing in Portuguese cuisine, will open in Metuchen in October.

METUCHEN, NJ — A new Portuguese-inspired restaurant is slated to open soon in Metuchen's Main Street. Tribos Peri Peri will be serving Portuguese-inspired flame-grilled cuisine with various spice options.

The 1800 square feet Metuchen franchisee will be owned by Ali Sheikh. “This location will also be the first to introduce the full-service dining experience to the Tribos franchise,” Sheikh said.

The restaurant will seat approximately 48 patrons and will serve Portuguese-inspired flame-grilled cuisine like chicken wings flame-grilled or fried with peri peri flavor, peri peri chicken wrap, lamb chops, and more. The franchise will also serve vegetarian-friendly options like falafel bowls, beyond burger, and grilled-paneer strips.
