Middlesex County College, Edison To Undergo Name Change

EDISON, NJ – Edison-based Middlesex County College will soon be known as Middlesex College.

The announcement was made at the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners annual reorganization meeting held Thursday.

County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios said the county is renewing its commitment to education by investing in Middlesex County College and students.

“Students embarking on a career at Middlesex County College – soon to be named Middlesex College – will receive a first-class education and be given invaluable real-world opportunities to succeed and thrive personally, academically, and professionally,” said Rios.

A formal announcement on the name change is likely to come by next week. However, it’s not clear when the name change will take effect.

The Middlesex County College has 10,085 students, 44 per cent full time and 56 percent part time, according to their website.
