A Newly Upgraded Forum Theatre May Be Coming To Metuchen (Video)

Metuchen plans to renovate and upgrade one of the oldest theaters in Middlesex County.

Mayor Jonathan Busch announced Saturday that Middlesex County has approved a $3.5 million grant that would pay for the development of the new Metuchen Arts District.

The plans include acquiring The Forum Theatre and an adjacent gas station, where a possible restaurant could be located. It wasn't completely clear what local officials plan to do to achieve their goal.

"In the coming months, we hope to solicit as much public input as possible on this exciting new project," he said.
