Rally At Cai’s Café In Metuchen Friday To Support Immigrants
First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen is holding what they call a "We Are Family" rally this Friday, June 29 from 3-8 p.m.

METUCHEN, NJ — First Presbyterian Church (“FPC”) of Metuchen is holding what they call a “We Are Family” rally this Friday, June 29 that will take place at Cai’s Café in Metuchen to support immigrants. The rally will go from 3 to 8 p.m. this Friday. All are welcome.
FPC congregants say they want to show their continued support for immigrants and "fight back on changes to policy that affect families seeking refuge in the United States."
Inspire Me Imagery photographers Lauren Beischer and John Kotlowski will be at the event for a very special photo project to support immigrant needs. All proceeds will go to The Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project, which assists immigrants and refugees with legal aid and support.

“What is happening at the border is unacceptable and appalling," said Kotlowski. "It breaks our hearts to hear about toddlers and children being taken from their families. We can easily put ourselves in the parent’s shoes and it is gut wrenching. To separate a child from their parent indefinitely, to us, is one of the worst punishments we can imagine.”
Attendees at Friday's rally can contribute a donation and have their portrait taken with a sign supporting immigrants and then share why this issue matters to them. Portraits, statements, and stories will be included in a beautiful book that will be available for pre-order the same day. Attendees can also make a donation and receive a 20-minute photography mini-session with John or Lauren.
