Summer Camp 2022 Registration Begins In Metuchen
This summer, Metuchen's Recreation Department is offering a variety of camps — from sports and cooking to art and STEM.
METUCHEN, NJ — The time has come to register for summer camps and there are quite a few options available in Metuchen.
The Metuchen Recreation Department is offering a variety of camps — from sports and cooking to art and STEM.
Wrestling Camp: Metuchen Grapplers Wrestling Camp will be working on drills, conditioning, and technique. There will also be live wrestling. They will cover topics like nutrition, sportsmanship, and mental toughness. Wrestlers will be paired according to skill level for live wrestling. All skill levels entering grade four to Grade 12 this fall are welcome. There will be a lunch break daily so attendees need to bring their food and water. Register directly with Metuchen Grapplers. Co-Ed Basketball Camp with Coach Cardillo: Co-Ed Basketball Camp run by Current Metuchen High School Boys Basketball Head Coach Cardillo, and staff. Skills, drills, and games throughout the week, campers will be split out by age and skill levels.
Location: Metuchen High School
Dates: July 25-29 and August 15-19
Time: 9 a.m.— 4 p.m.
Art Attack with Wendi & Kim: Learn to work on many different art mediums such as collage, watercolor, acrylic, tempera, and clay. Campers should bring a smock to use for the week. Week
1 will focus on the rainforest and week 2 will be beaches & boardwalks

Creative Theatre w/artsTECHsolutions: Students learn all about theatre in this summer camp. Guided, by the instructors, they play theatre games, create a story, and work together to make that story into a working theatrical production. The final day is a performance of the original play for parents, family and friends. Under the direction of Joe Nowosielski, artsTECHsolutions.
