$1,000 Reward Offered For Help In Englewood Hit-And-Run Case

Authorities are looking for a dark-colored Audi A6 that struck Cristian Valdez on Knickerbocker Road June 11.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps them in the ongoing investigation of a hit-and-run that hit a 15-year-old earlier this month.

Cristian Valdez was hit by a dark-colored Audi A6 at about 9:50 p.m. on Knickerboker Road near the Bilmar Place in Englewood, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office previously announced. The Audi was made sometime between 2001 and 2004, authorities said.

The Englewood, Teneck, Bergenfield, Bogota, and Hackensack CrimeStoppers Group is offering the reward.

Valdez clung to life for a few days following the hit-and-run, but is now "conscious and improving quickly," according to an update on a GoFundMe page created to help raise money to aid in his recovery.

The Audi will have front-end damage, including a broken grille, and possible damage to the bumper, hood, and windshield, authorities said.
