2 Found Stabbed At Englewood 7-Eleven Sunday Morning: Police

1 man underwent emergency surgery, police said.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ —People are looking for suspects after two people were found stabbed at a city 7-Eleven store Sunday morning, police said.

Police responded to the Tenafly Road store at 5:26 a.m. on a report of a stabbing, said Detective Capt. Timothy Torell.

The victims were found outside of the store: a 19-year-old Englewood man had a serious stab wound in his stomach and a 24-year-old Queens, New York man had been stabbed in his back, Torell said.

Both men were taken to local hospitals. The 19-year-old underwent emergency surgery and was in the intensive care unit, Torell said. He is expected to survive. The 24-year-old was treated and released.

Authorities did not find any weapons as of Sunday night, but forensic evidence was found at the 7-Eleven, Torell said.

Detectives are investigating the motive for the attacks. They are reviewing video taken from several nearby locations, Torell said.
