Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palisades Plans Artist Discussion
The discussion begins Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the Lydecker Homestead.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palisades (UUCP) will hold its monthly series, “Artists on Their Art,” Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 7-9 p.m. A variety of artists will discuss techniques and the process they use to create their art. Past discussions have centered on the artists’ process in creating stained glass art, building wooden model ships, creating jewelry and other crafts.
Artists and guest speakers Laszlo Kubinyi and Deborah Singer Pires will share their artistic process and some of their creative work. Kubinyi has been an illustrator for more than 40 years. He is recognized for illustrating a number of children’s and adult books, album covers, editorials, magazines, maps and medical illustrations. His commissions include Time, Life, National Geographic, Audubon, Atlantic Monthly, The New Yorker and other publications. Pires has won competitions and awards over the years for her watercolors, which focus on landscapes and floral.
The discussion will be held at the Lydecker Homstead in Englewood, located at 228 Grand Ave. Further information is available through the UUCP website.
