Ash Wednesday at St Paul's

Join us at St Paul’s in Englewood as we observe Ash Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Services are 7 am Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes; 10:30 am Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes; 5 pm Imposition of Ashes with Choral Evensong; 7 pm Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a forty-day period (excluding Sundays) or prayer, mediation, fasting, and almsgiving. During this season, alleluias and other festive songs are omitted from worship, and flowers are absent. The changes are meant to help us journey through Christ’s suffering and death in anticipation of the Easter celebration of Christ’s resurrection.
