Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies Honors Alex and Doug Sobelman of Paramus
Paramus couple, Ale and Doug Sobelman, recognized as "Parent Honorees" at Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies Annual Gala Dinner

The Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies (BCHSJS), Bergen County’s only weekly Hebrew High School, will hold its Annual Gala Dinner on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. This year’s Parent Honorees are Alex and Doug Sobelman of Paramus, who have made significant contributions to developing and supporting Jewish continuity among Northern New Jersey youth. Alex has degrees in electrical and computer engineering. Doug works as Director of Sales for Leesik Partners, a healthcare investment bank. He is the former president of the Young Families Club of the JCC in Paramus and Alex is on the board of the Hebrew School of the JCC of Paramus and BCHSJS. The Sobelmans did not have the opportunity to get a Jewish education when they were young, so they have made Jewish education and identity an important focus for their three sons. Two of their sons have attended BCHSJS and the third plans to do so when he enters eighth grade.
