Police Seek Help Identifying Englewood Watch Store Robbers
Suspects stole 3, $25,000 watches, police said.
ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Police are looking to identify two black men who stole three, $25,000 watches from the Timepiece Collection watch store Monday afternoon.
Two employees were “shaken up” after two men robbed the Palisades Avenue store, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said. One of the men distracted two employees while the other took the watches from an unlocked case and placed them into a bag; the men then fled the store, police said.
Police said one of the men made no effort to hide his face and are “confident he is most likely” not from the area. Torell said he may be from New York City or farther away.

“It is common, with similar type thieves, for these teams to be highly mobile throughout a particular area of the country,” Torell said.
Police are trying to get additional footage of the men from other security cameras in the area. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Unit helped obtain “significant forensic evidence” from the scene.

Police said one of the men wore a T-shirt with “New Jersey Born & Raised.” That man is described in his 30s or 40s with facial hair.
The second man is described as “dark-skinned” and spoke with a foreign accent, or at least a “feigned or altered” one, Torell said. He had gray face stubble, wore glasses, and appeared to have dreadlocks tucked under a “Rasta hat,” Torell said.
Anyone who may know who these men are should contact Englewood police detectives at 201-568-4875 or the local Crimestoppers tip line at 1-844-466-6789. Cash rewards will be given to anyone who significantly helps authorities with their investigation.
